Dear Students, Staff, Parents, and Community,

We are ready to spring forward into the new semester.  We are excited about the following changes we are making regarding curriculum and staff:

·   Mrs. Martinez will be offering a full Spanish program for our elementary students.  We are also committed to providing Spanish for highly motivated Middle School Students.

·   For students with low FCAT scores, we are offering 8 – 45 minute classes each week for direct instruction in learning strategies, test taking skills, and core curriculum tutoring.  Our middle school teachers will be fitting these extra classes into their current schedule. It is just another example of the commitment this staff shares to helping students are successful.

·   We now have a full-time Art teacher.  Chad Perry will begin the New Year as a full time certified art teacher.  We believe that this will reinforce a core curriculum that is supported by Spanish, Computer Science, and Athletics.

·   Look for announcements regarding Basketball, Soccer, and Athletic programs.  Ms. Dykes is our Athletic Director and she will continue to build a program that encourages students to strive for excellence.

·   Mrs. Williams has already stepped into third grade.  We are all excited about her kind and gentle strength we are seeing in the classroom.  These students are responding in such a positive way to her.  Thank you, Mrs. Williams.

We remain committed to providing a school that all of us can be proud of.  Our students are learning, and the faculty and staff have dedicated themselves to the process of building a great school,

Come in and visit to see the positive changes made in the fall, and encourage your community to visit our school as we build a school that reflects the values of Academies of Excellence.

A Blessed Holiday to all of you, and continue to pray for our students and faculty.

Happy Holidays,

Bobby Chambers, Senior Principal
